Kierra Branker is a photographer and artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Her photographs consist of constructed realities in intimate domestic spaces, creating images that parallels her own experience of the heritage of a distant home. She is interested in the relationship between object and body and how these are activated by one's own history, gesture, and ritual. Her recent project, “Get It And Come Back”, aims to generate extended representations of the Black diaspora in American culture, seen through the lens of her Afro-Caribbean background.
